Lovely of Lewes

LOVELY OF LEWES

A complete refurbishment was required to transform a four-story home in Lewes. A functional space in the cellar, a combined kitchen/diner, a bedroom with a view and an indoor bathroom were the essential requirements.

Working with developer Waymark Projects, with planning consent in place, Turner and Hoskins provided detailed drawings for building regulations and construction, and helped with the alteration, extension and re-planning of the rear of the house to give a new modern kitchen/diner.

The old cellar is now a modern games room which has been damp proofed, and, thinking ahead, it has incorporated plumbing to enable future re-purposing as a utility room.

The ground floor space provides a front living room with a central staircase, and a modern rear kitchen/diner opening onto a courtyard garden in the centre of Lewes.

The first floor has one bedroom and a completely new bathroom – a significant improvement on the previous freezing and damp bathroom at the end of the former yard.

The second floor has a large bedroom with views of the beautiful South Downs.

The finished home is a complete transformation – now lovely of Lewes!

“This was our first project as a building contractor working alongside Turner & Hoskins, and we found them to be enthusiastic, helpful, and creative throughout the process. Coupled with their professional and clear administration we not only look forward to working with them in the future, but are happy to recommend their services to potential new clients.”
