DESIGNING PLACES FOR PEOPLE TO THRIVE
DESIGNING PLACES FOR PEOPLE TO THRIVE
Turner & Hoskins Architects helps homeowners, families and property owners transform ideas into beautifully considered buildings. As a multi-award-winning, design-led practice, our focus is on understanding your aspirations and shaping them into thoughtful, well-crafted architecture. You benefit from a friendly and approachable team that combines fresh thinking, creative design and extensive architectural expertise.
Your project begins with your ideas, aspirations and the way you want to live, work or spend time. Through careful listening and considered design, those ambitions are shaped into spaces that are both functional and inspiring. Thoughtful architecture and attention to detail have the power to transform how a building is experienced, enhancing daily life and creating places that feel natural, comfortable and enduring.
ABOUT TURNER & HOSKINS ARCHITECTS

Founded in 2002 and based in Kent, Turner & Hoskins Architects works closely with you to bring your project to life. Rather than imposing a particular architectural style, the approach is to understand your goals, your lifestyle and the unique opportunities of your site. The result is architecture that feels personal, appropriate and carefully considered.
Whether you are planning a new home, extending an existing property or reimagining a building’s potential, you benefit from a friendly and approachable team that combines decades of experience with rigorous technical knowledge and exceptional attention to detail. From developing initial ideas and securing planning permission through to technical design, construction and project delivery, you are supported at every stage of the journey.
By exploring the untapped potential within your building or site, creative solutions emerge that help your project work better for you. Innovative thinking, clear communication and a commitment to high standards ensure that the process is as rewarding as the finished result.
Good design lies at the heart of every successful building. It brings together beauty, functionality and longevity to create places that enrich everyday life and continue to perform for years to come.
From our base in Edenbridge, we work throughout the South East of England, regularly delivering projects in London, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Essex, Middlesex and Hampshire. Wherever your project is located, our goal remains the same: to create a building that responds beautifully to its setting and works perfectly for the people who use it.
Turner & Hoskins Architects specialises in the design of bespoke homes, contemporary houses, extensions and carefully considered alterations to existing buildings. As experienced residential architects working across Kent, Sussex, Surrey and London, we help homeowners unlock the potential of their property and create beautifully designed places to live.
Every exceptional building begins with a conversation. If you are planning a project and would like to explore its full potential, we invite you to get in touch and discover how Turner & Hoskins Architects can help shape your ideas into a beautifully considered reality.
An initial conversation is always informal and without obligation, and is often the best way to explore the possibilities for your home or project.
Given what we do, we have a concern for people, their shelter, warmth, and wellbeing. We’re therefore proud to have been supporting Crawley Open House since 2019 through regular monthly giving, made possible by you, the people who commission us to do the work we do.
Crawley Open House provides support and services for those suffering the effects of homelessness, unemployment, loneliness, discrimination, or other forms of social exclusion. Their support is available to anyone in need.
Each night Crawley Open House is “home” for 60 people who otherwise would have nowhere else to stay.
Please consider supporting this amazing charity: www.crawleyopenhouse.co.uk

Vicki is the ‘Turner’ Director and together with Tim ensures the smooth running of the practice on a day-to-day basis. Multi-tasking is second nature as she designs, draws up schemes for planning, building regulations and construction, runs projects on site, liaises with clients and other key professionals, as well as being overall Office Manager and Administrative Director.
Vicki loves to work with people in their homes, teasing out the spaces they are looking for and critically asking the right questions that are keys to unlocking a successful project.
Passionate about making a difference to someone’s life, Vicki’s work is highly personal and her aim is always to strive for excellence. Plus she loves a good book!
Director, Architect
BA Hons Dip. Arch RIBA
Tim is the ‘Hoskins’ Director, who together with Vicki ensures the work produced is of the highest standards and wherever possible exceeds the client brief and expectations. Taking projects from inception through to ultimate realisation, providing clients with a uniquely crafted solution that fulfils individual requirements and realises their dreams.
Having trained first as an architectural technician, Tim has an excellent and in-depth knowledge of construction and building detailing. He can help ensure that a design can be realised as he really does know how to build stuff!
Hooked from childhood by seeing construction drawings on a drawing board, Tim is passionate about materials, their colour, texture, appearance, use, and how this can both change and be used within a building to best effect.
“The human mind is brilliant, and the capacity to use it, to think, to dream and to envisage should never be diminished – CAD is only a tool to help us, and shouldn’t be used as the design tool; that is a privilege reserved for the creative mind.”

Kim originally joined us in 2013 for her year in practice as a Part I student; we were very pleased she stayed for two years and felt the loss when she returned to university.
Following her qualification as an Architect, and a spell working in London, we were over the moon when Kim re-joined us in May 2021.
In her spare time, Kim designs and creates handmade eco-friendly homeware, and is working hard breathing life into her new home.
Studio Assistant

Having worked as a printmaker and illustrator with extensive experience with bespoke artwork and graphic illustrations, Kat has a diverse range of skills that complement the approach taken on any project, and is currently studying to develop her skills as an Architectural Technologist.
Kat assists with all areas of project development, providing and altering drawings, enjoying ensuring the information is presented in a neat and organised manner, with clear detail, and sometimes with pattern.
Passionate about sustainable, ethical living, in particular finding creative ways to work towards a zero-waste lifestyle, Kat especially enjoys time with her little ones and seeing them grow.
Level 7 Apprentice
BA (Hons) Architecture
With a strong interest in sustainability and environmentally friendly construction techniques, Veronica’s final project of her degree focussed on rammed earth construction; something which we have found prompted us as a Practice to re-consider and examine the technologies and techniques we employ.
Veronica works as a studio assistant, gaining experience required as part of the 7 years of training to become an architect. Having quickly settled in, Veronica has become a valued member of the team.
Architectural Assistant
BSc (Hons) Architecture
Having recently completed her undergraduate degree at Cardiff University, Yasmin has joined us as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant. She is passionate about how architecture shapes everyday experience and wellbeing, with a particular interest in sensory design, sustainable materiality, passive strategies, and connections to landscape.
Outside of work, she enjoys trying different crafts and going for long walks in the countryside.
