Two in Two

Any planning permission can feel like a bit of a triumph.  It’s a great stage to reach.  It conveys permission for a Client to build, and brings them tangibly closer to realising their ambitions.  Planning permission is the culmination of analysis of ideas, thoughts and discussions about what a Client needs – it is the first significant hurdle.

Two-in-two saw planning consent being granted for two separate projects on two consecutive days.  Firstly, we received planning consent for works to a house in Surrey.  This includes a ground floor side extension, first floor infill addition, new apex rooflight which will provide natural light to the heart of the home, and various internal alterations and refurbishment.  If you click on the video below, you will see the ‘before’ on the left, and the ‘after’ on the right.  We are currently working on detailed drawings, with work scheduled to start on site in early 2018.

The following day, we received planning consent for works to a house in Kent.  We had previously gained planning consent in 2013 for a two-storey side extension.  Working with the same Client, we again overcame the challenges of working within the Green Belt to form a new kitchen extension with large, bespoke glazed rooflight.

We have good working relationships with a number of local planning authorities, and enjoy a high rate of success with our planning applications.
