Private House 2, Crystal Palace

Almost opposite Private House 1 in Crystal Palace, work comprised the extension of the existing house at the side and rear to form a new garden room, enlarged kitchen with a breakfast bar, ground floor shower room and utility room, as well as a new raised deck overlooking the garden.

As with any rear extension, maintaining good levels of natural light and ventilation within the existing house was a key concern, and the contemporary design approach sought to ensure this was achieved.
