Memberships
We are members of the following organisations:
"The ARB is the UK's statutory regulator of architects. We keep a public register of around 33,000 architects. Every architect on our register has met the standards that we set for education, training and practice."
As well as being individual members of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), Turner & Hoskins Architects have RIBA Chartered Practice Status. The RIBA say: "To become a Chartered Practice, architect practices need to comply with strict criteria in an accreditation scheme that gives you, the client, a mark of quality. So by choosing a RIBA Chartered Practice you can expect a certain level of excellence in design and service".
Vicki Turner is a member of The Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors. “The Party Wall etc. Act 1996” covers a variety instances in the extension of an existing building, or erection of a new building. The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) provide guidance on how the Act affects “someone who either wishes to carry out work covered by the Act (the “Building Owner”) or receives notification under the Act or proposed adjacent work (the “Adjoining Owner”)”. "The Twentieth Century Society exists to safeguard the heritage of architecture and design in Britain from 1914 onwards. The Society’s prime objectives are conservation, to protect the buildings and design that characterise the Twentieth Century in Britain, and education, to extend our knowledge and appreciation of them, whether iconic buildings like the Royal Festival Hall or everyday artifacts like the red telephone box."

"The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings was founded by William Morris in 1877 to counteract the highly destructive 'restoration' of medieval buildings being practised by many Victorian architects. Today it is the largest, oldest and most technically expert national pressure group fighting to save old buildings from decay, demolition and damage. We represent the practical and positive side of conservation. We have a firm set of principles about how old buildings should be repaired and the practical knowledge to show how these can be put into effect. Our successes are visible across the country. Thousands of historic buildings survive which would have been lost, mutilated or badly repaired without our intervention. Today, the Society has a statutory role as adviser to local planning authorities."
"Soroptomist International is a worldwide service organisation for women. We are committed to a world where women and girls together achieve their individual and collective potential, realise aspirations and have an equal voice in creating strong, peaceful communities worldwide." Vicki has been an active member of Soroptomist International since 2004.
